From what I understand a healer's kit in this edition does nothing more than stabilize a character without having to make a Widsom (Medicine) check; it does not restore hit points unless you do have the Healer feat in which case it can restore 1d6+4hp. You were given some poultices though if I recall when you were in Durmista that heal 1d4+1hp, but these can only be used once every short rest to gain that benefit.
I will allow the players to roll the perception checks and trust them not to metagame, although you won't know the DC and a high dice roll won't matter if there is nothing there to perceive in the first place so that will help in this regard somewhat.
That is fair enough Aeric. She wouldn't have proficiency with disarming traps. I assume her jack of all trades benefit would still count though since it applies to all skills that she isn't proficient in. She will peek her head around the corner while doing this.
