Carrick lines up another shot on the elf and looses arrow, the glowing aura that surrounds the elf almost guiding the dwarf's arrow to its target.
Out of Character: Carrick will use bonus action to move hunters mark to Adsila if the elf dies.
Mradoric brings his staff up connecting with the elves jaw and forcing his head to snap backwards spraying blood, spit, and teeth, he then follows up with a fist to the elf's throat that crushes the warriors trachea. The elf falls backwards, landing on the ground he struggles for air, twitching and writhing until he finally lies motionless.
Corren's rapier peirces through the elf's side, finding its way between the warriors ribs and slashing the heart. The elf drops to the ground lifeless. Zinna's taunting elicits a glare along with a disgusted grunt from Adsila and Carricks arrow buries itself deep into the elfs eye socket killing him instantly.
Only one elf and Adsila remain. The elf warrior holds his sword in the ready position, a look of defiance on his face while Adisila's own expression betrays feelings of fear mixed with rage.
Initiative: Mradoric-22; Corren-19; Zinna-19; Carrick-18; Leo-17; Oomigig-15; Lorliys-5; Elves-1.
Leo advances on Adsila and the elf warrior standing between them stabs at the paladin as he does so but the blade glances off of Leo's armor. Leo's glaive drives past the warriors head! Adsila moves just enough to avoid the blade hitting her right between the eyes and it leaves a deep cut on her left cheek instead; deep enough that her teeth lay exposed. The glaive flashes as it digs in burning her skin. The butt end of Leo's glaive is brought around and cracks the remaining elf's skull sending him to the ground lifeless.
Oomigig barrels forward with a bloodthirsty shout and drives his short sword into the gut of the elven leader causing her to double over for a moment and grunt in pain. The orc pushes the blade deeper nearly lifting Adsila off the ground before pulling back. Adsila drops to her knees, her rapier falls to the forest floor as she breathes heavily. Her head tilts back slightly and her eyes look to the trees above her. She has a defeated look about her now, her face calm as though resigned to her fate.
A figure appears from behind a tree, an elven man dressed in padded leather armor, worn and faded as is the green cloak that hangs over his shoulders, the hoop pulled over his head slightly obscuring his visage. From what can be seen of his His face appears to be covered in tribal tattoos similar to those of the elven warriors that lie dead. Adsila's eyes fall to him and she smirks "So Inasyah will have war then Celodhil? Over this human?"
The man walks over to tower above the fallen elf "Yes" he replies his voice nearly a whisper "There will be war I imagine, though not over this human. Your people brought her wrath upon you when you took her people to feed to your wretched tree."
"My people" she sputters and spits out blood "Your people as well, traitor."
"I warned you… long ago, I warned you. Did you think she wouldn't find out? You should have kept to your own when making sacrifices to those abominations."
"You would call your own kin abominations?"
"They are little more than a pale shadow of Inasyah… trying to become something they are not. She knows of your plans to subvert her rule over the Seelie Court."
Celodhil's eyes flow to Zinna and he studies her for a moment before he returns his gaze to Adsila whose life force appears to be quickly fading away "She belongs to Inasyah now… the Ancestors cannot have her."
Out of Character: : Zinna and the others have time to interact with Adsila before she dies if they choose to.
Zinna sees Corren take her rapier away and smiles. Zinna looks at the elf that assisted " Thank you for helping us. " Zinna calmly walks over to Adsila. She kneels down and whispers" I told you that today you would die. It doesn't end today. We will come back and wipe out your evil tribe. You desecrators of Inasyah. " She stands up and has a smile on her face that is devoid of warmth. Zinna says" This is for what you did to Inasyah " as she rams the sword through Adsila's chest. She then says " this is for what you did to me, Lorilys, Oomigig and all the others. " She stabs her again with each person named. Zinna keeps stabbing her long after she is dead.
She stands back up slowly. Zinna drops the sword covered in blood. The bard stands there looking down at the slain elf. She looks at Lorilys and Oomigig. Zinna is covered in blood and has a glazed look on her face. " Now she will trouble no one anymore. You are free. "
Adsila offers no resistance to Zinna's strikes. Each time the blade is driven in the pain is visible as she grits her teeth to keep from crying out in agony. Her mangled form finally comes to rest on the floor of the forest and her blood is soaked up by the ground staining it a dark red.
Celodhil watches as Zinna stabs Adsila repeatedly and is stoic for the most part although anyone watching him closely might notice a look of what could be sadness pass over him for a moment as Adsila's limp form is finally laid to rest on the ground, but this look passes quickly like a swift and gentle breeze.
Oomigig stands, bloody sword in hand, he looks about him at those gathered and for a moment when his eyes fall to Carrick they squint in hatred; it would seem he is prepared to lunge at the dwarf but he stays his hand. Taking a couple steps back you see him square off with Celodhil for a moment and once again his demeanor suggests that he is preparing for another fight but Celodhil raises his let hand to display an open palm
"Our fight can come on another day Oomigig" the elf tells the brutish orc calmly "Your aid today has granted you some reprieve from Inasyah's vengeance… but only a short one."
Oomigig's jaw clenches as he appears to debate whether he should in fact run or fight but after several moments he takes one last look at those around him and with a grunt he runs away disappearing into the forest.
Lorilys peaks out from the thicket that she had been hiding in, but still looks as though she is in shock or disbelief. "It is over?" she says meekly "We are finally free?"
"You are free" Celodhil replies then turns to address Zinna “Zinnathyra… you and your friends should come with me. More Illiosani will come soon enough.”
Celodhil kneels down by Adsila, leans forward and traces some sort of symbol on her forehead with his thumb and whispers something in her ear then standing up he turns quickly and begins to walk away into the forest.
"Then let us move out. Zinna, Lorylis, lets get you up on the horses, you look too tired to go far on foot."
Leo quickly shortens the stirrups on Zinna's horse, which he had been riding, and helps the bard up, he says for her ears, "We will end this when and how we can, but don't let hatred consume you in the meantime. Deny them the victory of having tainted that bright soul of yours." With that, Leo will swiftly clean off his weapon and set out after Celodhil.
