Carrick struggles for a moment not to release an arrow right at Oomigig's head, but then relaxes the tension as the orc bounds off through the forest, "I'll find ye, one day… " the dwarf mutters to himself.
Zinna's actions were a bit disturbing to Carrick and he wasn't sure what, if anything, to say about it at the moment. Who knows what she has been through the past few days. Still, the dwarf is hesitant to approach the blood soaked bard and seeing everyone else seemingly readying themselves to move out with the two new strangers, he'll do the same, only doing a quick once over on the elves for arrows and then walks away from the group a bit and digs a tiny crude hole. Carrick then placed the body of Parsnip in the hole and covers it back up. Then he takes out his dagger and quickly scrapes a dwarvish symbol on a nearby pebble and placed it on top of the makeshift grave, "Maker guide ye now… ". The ranger then stands and moves to mount up. Edited: Brandonfett on 2nd Feb, 2017 - 1:02pm
Shortly after Parsnip was killed his sister Fizzle disappeared for a time but she reappears as if out of thin air near the place where Carrick buries the pixie. She watches Carrick gently place Parsnips body into the ground and carve the rune onto the rock. After Carrick places the stone on the small burial mound Fizzle reaches into a pouch attached to her belt and sprinkles glittery dust onto the grave "Goodbye dear brother" she whispers and looks up at Carrick with sorrow filled eyes.
"Thank you for not leaving him behind for the Illiosani. I don't know if I caught your name, but please tell me so that I can tell my kin who this friend of the fey is."
If Fizzle or Celodhil are asked about any form of magic that might resurrect Parsnip they inform them that such magic does exist but it is well out of their reach. Fizzle also explains that it is ok, even though she mourns Parsnip's loss she knows that his spirit will return to nature and be reborn in a manner of speaking. She tells Carrick to remember the place where he buried her brother, perhaps a tree will grow there to honor his memory.
Celodhil leads the party hastily away from the scene of the battle and the party travels west until dusk at which point the elf suggests the party make camp. "We are outside of Illiosani territory now" he explains "We should be safe for the most part. Tomorrow I will tell you how to avoid the Illiosani as you make your way back to your village… except for you.
Celodhil fixes Zinna with a stoic gaze "You must come with me to the other side of the Veil to meet your Queen and to receive her blessing."
Leo looks at the bard, "Your Queen? You have sworn to her Zinnathrya?"
"Nevermind, that can wait, listen Celodhil, we came to these lands for a purpose, and I mean no offense, but we would rather that you not simply spirit our friend away so soon after getting her back."
"It seems that Queen Inasyah has an interest in me as well, but I must confer with my mentor, who is speaking with the elven council of these lands. I request that we go to the council, and then we both, Zinnathrya and I, can leave to see the queen, IF that is Zinna's wish." Edited: daishain on 3rd Feb, 2017 - 1:40am
As the group begins to settle down, Corren keeps looking at Zinna. His heart is pounding in his chest, as he wants to speak with her desperately. Preferably alone. But before he can arrange that, their host states what he wants to do with Zinna, and immediately his eyes narrow, he stares at Celodhil, then Zinna.
"Zinna, what does he mean, 'Your Queen.'? And her blessing?"
