Zinna looks with uncertainty from the ruin tunnel to Carrick and Celodhil facing off against the orcs. Knowing what is at stake her face hardens as her eyes water. She holds her ash wand at the ready. Lighting a torch she follows the others quickly below after one more look behind.
Corren curses at Carrick, and at Oomigog. He then says, "To blazes with both of you!" He follows the others into the caverns and says, "There's nothing for it, None of us can see in the dark, so we'll need the torches and just hope to overcome any opposition we don't hear before we can douse the lights. Let's go."
Corren, still obviously angry, lights a torch and moves a bit ahead. Since there does not seem to be any immediate threat of pursuit, he is willing to take their time and hope they can find any sorts of hidden surprises left by the inhabitants…

After letting the others go ahead Mradoric follows watching behind them to make sure no one sneaks up from behind. He till hold tbe torch in his right hand out away from his body. He holds his staff in the crook of his left so it can be brought up in a moment as he drops the torch if they are attacked.
Zinna is looking everywhere very cautiously. She doesn't wish to be subjected to anymore Iliosani torture. She eyes her wand and smiles. This trip she has Inasyah with her. It will be much different this time around. The bard is anxious to begin exacting some revenge.
The stairs extend down approximately twenty feet before they open into a square chamber around 30' X 30' you can see that there was once perhaps a door here but now only the hinges remain. The air is cool and dry in the chaber and the torchlight beats back the darkness revealing stone walls and cobblestone floors with a ceiling that has stone arches beginning at about 8' and meet above to a peak of about 20' high.
Directly ahead the chamber opens into a 10' wide corridor that extends beyond the torchlight into blackness. To the left is a corridor that extends for about thirty feet where you can make out a stone wall though you cannot tell if the corridor intersects or turns. To your right there is a corridor that extends about twenty feet before ending in a wooden door with bronze hardware.
You can vaguely hear the battle raging behind you but if anyone looked back the opening is concealed once more by a heavy layer of foliage that effectively blocks your torchlight and you are reasonably assured that no one from outside can see the light within once you enter the chamber. Besides the battle you hear nothing else from within.
