Neither Corren nor Leo hear anything on the other side of their respective doors; Corren does not detect any traps on his door and the door appears to be unlocked. Leo isn't sure about traps but his door does appear to be locked.
The door opens outward toward the corridor, inside is a 30' X 30' chamber. On the north, east, and south walls are enclaves dug out in a semi circular pattern in the walls where large man sized statues stand on raised daises making them approximately seven feet tall. All the statues depict what look like man-dragons (Essentially dragon-born though the characters would not be familiar with this race). The north statue is that of a dragon born standing with head bowed wearing a robe and wielding a staff that has a small red sphere affixed to the top of it held by what looks to be talons.
The statue to the east is that of a large warrior holding a great sword, the tip of which is aimed at the ground, the warrior holds the hilt of the sword with both hands his head is raised and his eyes are focused toward the door. On the south wall is a statute of a dragon born though this one appears to be female. She is also wearing robes but her head is looking upwards toward the ceiling and her arms are outstretched as though in supplication. Affixed to the dais' that hold the statues are brass plates with some form of strange writing or glyphs engraved in them.
The statues including the weapons/items that they hold are made of stone although the sphere held in place by the staff in the north statue appears to be made of some sort of light red gem, perhaps ruby, about the size of a baseball. In the center of the room is a stone pedestal on top of which is a large brass bowl. On the ceiling above the brass bowl appears to be a square hole only about 2' x 2' wide.
"This would seem to answer one question, but raise many more. Did the Illiosani wipe this race out? Are there more elsewhere?"
"In any case, that crystal appears valuable, but there is likely a reason the iliosani have left it be. The prudent thing seems to be to move on."
Zinna's eyes light up at the sight of the gem. " Maybe the Iliosani did. They are truly monstrous. " She is transfixed by the gem. " How can we pass by something as wondrous as that gem? It might be trapped or it might not be. We are smart enough to retrieve it. If no one else wishes to try for it then I will. I'm sure it has either some great power or is worth a small fortune. "
