A really bad Stroke can leave one side of your body immobile or even cause a twisted jaw. These things can have a big psychological impact on the Stroke victim. How do you or your loved one cope with it?

My late grandmother had a stroke when I was around 10 years old. She did not have feeling in her left side for quite some time but it did return. She never could steady herself well after that but she always gave it her best effort. My dad had moved her in with us so that my mother could help her with the daily activities that she had a difficult time doing herself.

These difficulties with language, or 'aphasia,' are a common symptom in the aftermath of stroke. However, in a new study, researchers report that damage to the underlying connections among different areas of the brain can also affect the severity of aphasia.
