What are your thoughts about the Black Panther Party? Were they the ultra opposite of the White Nationalist Movement or just misunderstood?

The Black Panther Party (originally called the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense) was a revolutionary, Black nationalist organization in the United States founded by Huey P. Newton, Bobby Seale, and Richard Aoki. Forming in October 1966, the party grew to national prominence in the United States and is an iconic representative of the counterculture revolutions of the 1960s. The group was founded on the principles of its "Ten-Point Program", which called for greater autonomy of black Americans and justice for many real and perceived slights against blacks.

To be honest, I think they started off with the right intentions. I think they banded together to try and protect themselves and other black people from the horrible mistreatments that were occurring, primarily at the hands of the police. The way they were treated was simply overlook or ignored, they had to stand up for themselves. Ultimately, they started leaning away from that to a black power movement that more resembled the exact opposite of the white power movement.

If we had equality here in the USA we would not be hearing of this. We all as a people need to come together and treat everyone equally. I have seen people go out of their way to treat somone badly as if they are not equal to them. I think that bites. There are a lot of people out there who have the education and the knowledge to make the point that it does not matterwhat your skin color or your sex is becasue you can help get the job done. I work with a very big bigot of a man who believes that NO woman should ever tell him what to do. The fact that a woman is above him really pisses him off. I have told him when he complained to me the door is right over there. I would love to see him go.

The Department of Justice apparently doesn't think the voter intimidation at the polls in Philadelphia by the Black Panthers merits any further attention. Perhaps they haven't seen the video of the same Black Panther who was at the polls also calling for white people (crackers, as he so eloquently put it) and their babies to be killed. The DOJ had actually already won the case and was preparing for sentencing when suddenly the case was dropped. Huh? Glenn has the disturbing audio on radio today. Ref. Source 3
