I'm preparing a character to draft, but I have a couple of questions first.
1. Are Racial Class limitations in effect? (as in, Half Elves cannot proceed past level 5 as Cleric, level 8 as druid, fighter, etc, according to the Players Handbook.)
2. You made no mention of Exceptional Strength in your rules. Are you allowing characters with exceptional strength? (18/01 - 18/00)
3. Are you measuring weight in Gp or Lbs. ?
4. Rangers roll 2d8 for HP? (I know we're starting at Max, so a Ranger will start with 16 + [Constitution] bonus HP?)
Ok, that's it for now, though I may have more later. Fun stuff, man, I'm excited to get my character drafted.
Here you go for answers
I found a spot in the Dungeon masters guide that states that those demi characters can be unlimited in level if they are around human adventures so as long as there is one human in the party no restrictions.
I accept all ability scores if you have a 18 for strength then you will need to roll percentile die for just how strong
Weight is measured in pounds
Yes a ranger can start with more than 16 hit points.
I was wondering whether you were planning on running the "Classic" adventures? Particularly I'd like to try Barrier Peaks (if the levels are reached).
I've never tried 1st edition so how much assistance will there be with rolls and suggesting play-style?
Hey KNtoran! I'm looking at hopefully joining your fun but am having trouble figuring out just how to generate a character for it. Am I just to roll it all up independently or am I missing something? Also, sure you don't wanna include monks/assassins?
If you wish to be a monk or an assassin that is fine. Yes you just need to roll up the character and submit it. It is up to you to prepare the character as per Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rules and once submitted I will take a look at it and let you know if it is an acceptable character.
I've almost built a human cleric, but for the life of me I can't find Thac0 or secondary skill. However I managed to find nonweapon proficiencies, is this the same as a second skill?
Also my stat rolls were rather lacking: 15, 13, 12, 9, 9, 9.
EDIT: Also, the weight of armors.
In addition, my plan is to have a deity that is freedom oriented, anti slavery and has an aspect similar to Thor.
Lastly, do I have to add 2 years to my rolled age in order to learn 2 languages?
