Games such as "Guitar Hero" and "Fight Night Round Three" were projected onto massive video screens as players waited and watched in line.

No offense but I'd feel like I was among weird people if I attended one of those. I don't have anything against gamers, I play too, but this is taking it a bit far. I guess everyone has a theme to get a social life.

Having been active on the internet for over 10 years there are some cyber friends I know better than a lot of real life folk. However I do have a real life. I have met online friends before while travelling. We usually will meet for dinner or whatever. I sometimes have planned my itinerary so I can pass through a town and have dinner with a cyber- friend.
Something like this seems a bit much for me. Reminds me of the Trekkie & StarWars conventions. A bit over the top. I would rather get together on a more intimate level with those I have made a connection with. I do not care much for large crowds and long lines. Besides, I would rather play Guitar Hero in the privacy of my own home.

I am one that hates to be in large crowds. I tend to avoid large crowds if I can. I would rather be in my own home or somewhere where they is few if any people. I do not do well in crowds and can get a little 'pushy'.

I am not so good with crowds myself unless I knew everyone in the crowd I would have to leave or sneak off to a quiet corner.

I go to a games club with about 8 people and thats quite enough for me and the majority of the time we just sit and chill, I would rather do that than stand in a crowd of 20 people talking about how many notes they hit on the Through the fire and the flames on Expert or how Mega they are with a plastic guitar.
