The Eye

The Eye is the remake of a Hong Kong film. It stars Jessica Alba, Alessandro Nivola, and Parker Posey. I enjoyed the film, the sound effects and visuals were all done well. I especially like the sound track. In fact I am trying to locate: "Stars" Written by Alex Stiff and Marc Cazorla, and performed by The Frequency, but cannot! Anyway, Jessica does a good job dealing with both blindness and visions. Warning: This film is not for someone with a weak heart. There are a lot of parts where you go from silence to chaos when you least expect it.

I did not see the movie, could you give a synopsis without saying too much? Jessica Alba does not seem like a dramatic actress to me.

Rather off topic, but...
You won't be able to find that song because it is an "unreleased" song, and it was released only for the movie. You can see the two albums of The Frequency and purchase their music online here:

I thought she does well. She has the difficult task of acting as being blind and later as having unusual sight. I should also mention that those interested in near death experiences and psychic abilities - mostly future reading or remote viewing will find this movie particularly interesting.

What I don't get with this film was the ghosts who led the dead people away were all evil looking. So death is supposed to be evil in nature?

Sydney Wells is blind and has been so since a childhood tragedy. After undergoing surgery to restore her sight she learns to see again. But soon after, unexplainable shadowy and frightening images start to haunt her. Not knowing if they are an aftermath of surgery, her mind adjusting to sight, her imagination, or something horrifyingly real, Sydney is soon convinced that her anonymous eye donor has somehow opened the door to a terrifying world only she can now see.
