His career has certainly had its ups and downs. He seems to have a sense of humor, which is probably part of what has saved him from the self-destruction that so many child stars experience.

"Last year my 15-year-old son found a box of vintage Donny and Marie T-shirts. He put one on to go to school in and I said: `Do you want to get beaten up?' |
Donny Osmond is one of my favorite singers, I went to Birmingham last year to see him in concert.
He hasn't always had an easy ride of things, but has always pulled through still smiling, he is also such a genuine man, that I think this comes through, and helps him to retain all his original doting fans, but also more along the way.
I genuinely thought that there wouldn't be many people under the age of 40 at his concert, but I was totally wrong, and easily half of the audience were from around 15 to 40! His concert was great value for money too, so I expect these factors help to keep Donny as popular today as he has always been.
