McKellen keen for X-Men spin-off

Sir Ian McKellen says he would love to appear in a spin-off film featuring his X-Men character, Magneto.

I've enjoyed the X-Men movies and wouldn't mind seeing more. They mentioned a spin off, I wonder what its going to be about.

Perhaps they are going to show the history of Magneto. I ponder will the concentration camps be part of this? Or will it be just a quick blip then into how he changed due to his experience in the camp. I hope they do not skip that detail as it is a big part of what Magneto who he is.

Interesting on the prisoner as I think he would be good for the part though his age might not fit the character well. If it is the show I remember from years back. I think he had a number it was 6 and he was chased by a bubble a lot. It was a prison and he was always trying to escape.

Spin-off X-men

It would be interesting to see a storyline depicting the relationship between Magneto and Professor Xavier and what led to their split. They have a long history together and used to be allies.

Yes it would to show how their value system were formed. Nice drama more then an action film though.

I am sure they would find a way to mix in plenty of action. I wonder what the next sequel will bring us.

Didn't they show pieces of that before. I remember seeing Magneto in the Nazi camp and how he wanted to do experiments with someone but the professor would not allow it. These were all shown before.

They have touched on it all, but not really in depth. They could really expand on the relationship between these two characters and why they chose different paths and perhaps even what could have been had they each chosen different.
