The Whole Truth (Hover)
A defense attorney works to get his teenage client acquitted of murdering his wealthy father. Starring: Renée Zellweger, Keanu Reeves, and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
I watched this movie last night and to be honest it was a bit too predictable for my liking. Keenu Reeves did great in the Matrix because the role suited his personality but I find him to be an emotionless actor who is very difficult to "Read".
From the start, you realize the relationship between the lawyer and the wife of the victim giving you already an idea of who was the perpetrator of the crime in question. The plot is a little too incredible to believe stopping you from really diving into it and realizing that you are merely watching a film with "The guy from the Matrix".
It is absurd to imagine an intelligent lawyer dirtying his own hands to commit a crime, a police force who did not question the wife of the victim well enough, self-inflicted wounds who were never investigated and a jury who gave a sentence without proper evidence.
All in all, it was an okay movie but with too many holes to the plot making it unconvincing.
