After a mug of ale Vander is feeling bold and the crowd is egging him on. Hes young, and he knows his hands are quick. All those hours in the training yard have helped hone his reflexes. Surely he can catch some lousy mugs. "I accept!" he shouts.
The Town's loud Tavern Wench calls for a Reflexes competition of which ridiculous Vander accepted. A mug or two don't make it into the hands of Vander but instead hit the table and floor! Vander has not the Reflexes Skill but unwisely thinks to be better than the Tavern's Challenge much to detriment of Vander. What an embarrassing situation! That brings on some giddy laughs.
"My people… I have acquired my crest as appointed by the governor. I am now working on establishing my clan. As soon as I do I hope you will be part of it. I will be your queen and it is only befitting that you become part of my clan and start your own quest for greatness within." She sips some ale and winks at wench.
Vander turns beet red and grins sheepishly in embarrassment. Maybe that ale was stronger than he thought. "Guess I'm better at emptying them than catching them. Now I'll never find work as a jester. It's just as well, I look awful in motley tights."
Merlin's mouth is open as he looks on at the sudden entertainment before him. On one had we have the acclaimed queen who seems to be making good progress while on the other side we have the usual stranger that enters the tavern and immediately falls to the crowds cheer for him to take the challenge. He raises his mug to them both saying, "Well done!"
