An old depressed looking man with walking stick in hand walks in mumbling something. You can barely make out him saying, "It's a very hard thing to get round this ole' Town with no shoes of levitation." He then turns around and leaves.
Krusten is having her morning meal when the curious old man enters. She has seldom seen him before so today made it a rare occasion. She wondered what he meant but shakes her head when he leaves passing it off as senility. "Well time to get back to my armies" she says while finishing the last morsel of her meal.
Suddenly the old man returns with his head shone behind the well used oak door of the Tavern. He has a puzzled expression as he says, "Oh, this is still the Tavern… I thought it was the Palace." He then disappears.
Just as she was leaving she saw the strange old man again. That is twice in one day she thought… an even rarer thing indeed. She wonders if that is a sign that her armies will do very well today. Smiling, she leaves.
Having the feeling that someone is calling him out from within the Tavern the slow old man carefully peeps in again from behind the door. This time he is just showing one eye and a bit of his head. He then slowly moves back behind the door and is gone.
Entering the tavern Torac placed an order for breakfast before sitting down. Reflecting on the meeting that he'd had with Lady Angelique Deveraux in the tavern this time yesterday he wondered if he might see her again - somehow he doubted it. This wasn't the type of place that he'd expect to see a noble born woman frequenting. His thoughts turned to food as his breakfast arrived and then onto the business that he had planned for the day ahead as he chewed thoughtfully.
