I'm interested in what those of you interested in the rule of law think about the felony murder rule which basically means if you are committing a felony act and someone dies because of it then you are guilty of murder even if it wasn't your intent to murder or even to harm anyone. Some people think its too harsh while the victim's family are supportive of it for obvious reasons.

The law makes sense to me because your criminal act led to the death of someone. You should not have been doing what you were doing in the first place and if you hadn't then there would have been no killing, accidental or otherwise.
