Something the media is only now releasing relates to the wife of Keith filing a protective order against him because he was very violent and even hit their 8 year old in the head 3 times according to the wife. They are saying this isn't relevant to the case but to me it does because it could show why Keith was not following instructions and / or was reaching for a gun against the police.

People need to understand that Keith wasn't following instructions. While that doesn't mean it was ok for the police to kill him it does show why you should follow the police's instructions. The police are on edge when making an arrest so you need to stay calm and state what you are doing then do it slowly.

Charlotte police officer 'acted lawfully' in fatal shooting of Keith Lamont Scott, district attorney says

The black Charlotte police officer who fatally shot a black man following a brief but tense standoff Sept. 20 won't be charged in the case, District Attorney Andrew Murray announced Wednesday. Officer Brent Vinson has been on administrative leave since shooting Keith Lamont Scott, 43, in a parking lot while the husband and father was waiting for his child's school bus. "It is my opinion that Officer Vinson acted lawfully when he shot Mr. Scott," Murray said. "His use of deadly force was lawful." After hearing the evidence from the attorney general the officer definitely shot lawfully because Mr. Scott was not following instructions and had a gun in his hand. What is a guy on serious meds doing with a gun anyhow?

Getting a gun in most cities is not hard to do. Most of the guns are bought on the black market after a home theft. The fact that some people in the media feel it is their right to list the names and addresses of all weapon permit holders gives the criminal element a nice list of homes to break into to get guns.
