Agreed. The moment we allowed electronic voting machines was the moment we lost the right to vote. We no longer own the ballot, those who tend to the machines own the ballot. The system will tell us this is the only way, which for them, is the truth. It's the only way that they can get away with what they are doing. If the ruling party doesn't allow fair elections, there soon will be another ruling party, be that citizen representatives or UN peacekeepers, or warlords, or a foreign nation. The one thing we can say is that this is "Unsustainable."
With the recent talk of Obamacare going up by 25+% on average that may get Trump some votes. Problem is he does not really have an alternative plan to offer.

He could have, She certainly gave him plenty of ammunition to use. But he chose to ramble on about other topics instead.
Frankly, I have my own theory, one that isn't perfect, but it would explain much. Get this, Trump is working for Hillary.
Think about it for a moment. Hillary is running into a great deal of negative opinion, most of it justified. Even with the FBI refusing to prosecute in spite of admitting they proved she broke multiple laws, her popularity is pathetic. She needs someone she can beat. Enter Trump, the long standing Democrat and personal friend of the Clinton family. He lambast's her rival Obama for the last election cycle, and steps up to the Republican plate as the nutter who appeals to the dregs of that party. Enough doubt is thrown about the other republican candidates that they're eliminated one by one, and then Trump really goes to town driving his approval rating down the toilet, deliberately making a lot of people who would rather see Hillary court martialed than in office seriously consider putting her in office anyways just to avoid the crazy on the other end.
What does Trump get out of this? Almost nothing that he cares about if he wins, he would have to give up his businesses among other things. But putting a friend in the POTUS chair can be of massive benefit to a less than moral businessman like him. Especially a friend known to give massive kickbacks to those who serve her interests.

Interesting theory. I actually thought about something like that by saying to myself… "Hillary is so lucky, having a contestant like Trump makes for an easy win." But let's say your theory is true and Trump did win wouldn't that make it so Trump did not do his job right?

Pretty much, but think about what happened recently. A tape from eleven years ago suddenly surfaces, with objectionable content that leads a lot of his Repub supporters to abandon ship. That release might have been someone wanting to get rid of Trump, but it could have been Trump himself, trying to ensure he plays his part, but is not ultimately electable. He is after all among the very few people likely to have held onto something like that for so long.

If you are correct about that then it will be one of the biggest political controversies ever in what should be an example of democracy and a great democratic process. Then again, with all the wool pulled over our eyes in most everything in the media who knows what is the truth.
