In my opinion, the surprising big margin win of Donald Trump is a message from America to Barrack Obama and the Democrats that they are tired of the political norm and the media trying to dictate what is acceptable for America.
Many Americans were not happy with Obama's policies and Hillary's wanting to continue Obama's plans made America dislike Hillary even more.

I believe you are right. Americans want change and not more political rhetoric. If Trump can win it means come next election anyone can have a chance to win. One thing that is for sure, America does not want the Clintons in power, that era has now come to an end.

I just hope that Donald Trump isn't as arrogant and headstrong as he was during the campaign. Let's see who he chooses in his cabinet and attorney general.

Will Trump really go after Hillary the way he said he would by appointing a special attorney to prosecute her? If he does then that will increase the divide.

I think Donald Trump will tune down, he has to. He is on different turf. By the way, he will start getting all the security briefings that the president does. That might change his perspective of what is going on in the world.

Obama: Americans should 'reconcile themselves' to Trump presidency
"Whenever you have an incoming president on the other side, particularly after a contentious election like we've had, it takes a while for people to reconcile themselves to that new reality. Hopefully it's a reminder that elections matter," President Obama said in his first post-election news conference before he departs Monday night for a weeklong foreign trip. The president also said he was optimistic about the country and his Democratic Party. Ref. USAToday.
