U.S. Army soldiers from Charlie Battery, Fires Squadron, Second Stryker Cavalry Regiment prepare to search a classroom as they occupy a school during Operation Fires Festung in Qubah, north of Baghdad in Iraq's volatile Diyala province on Wednesday, July 9, 2008. U.S. troops secured the outskirts of Qubah as Iraqi Army troops swept through the primarily Shiite town, which had been overrun by al-Qaida. (AP Photo/Maya Alleruzzo)AP - Face to face with Iraq's leaders, Barack Obama gained fresh support Monday for the idea of pulling all U.S. combat forces out of the war zone by 2010. But the Iraqis stopped short of actual timetables or endorsement of Obama's pledge to withdraw American troops within 16 months if he wins the presidency.

I do not care what the spin doctors are saying on this, but Obama has retracted from his earlier campaign stance on troop pullouts. It is all on tape if someone will play his answers to one of the what seems like hundreds of debates that they had in the campaign. Obama said troops would come out immediately if he was elected. Also, he said nothing about redeploying them to Afghanistan in his earlier debates. Now I do realize that he was fleshing out his platform as he went along, but to deny what he said earlier is the kind of thing that will get thrown back to him if there are a lot of these kind of retractions of stance. The only good thing is...McCain has flopped a bit himself too in his career.

Well I guess that is what happens when you open your mouth and spout out a bunch of words without knowing what it is your talking about. Now that he has been over there he understands more of what is going on. I think he is going to make more mistakes as he goes on. This was a big one. You can not promise your going to pull the troops out as soon as your elected and now say that your not going to until 2010.
