A lot of people have lost their jobs because of the recent recession. One proposal by the government is for citizens to go to Canada to work and later live there permanently. While that might sound good how many Trinis are willing to live in an extremely cold climate in a different culture and society?

Comments: It is now obvious that without a good paying job on this island life here is going to be a battle. Not only that, living here with the escalating crime rate especially with the chance that you or a member of your family becoming a victim. Things here are far from rosy,and the situation is going from bad to worse. The ordinary man or woman here stand a very high chance of being classified as the underclass or living the rest of their lives in poverty.
It is alright for the already rich and those in positions of authority and power who could always have a dip into the drum of corruption and getting away with it, when they start feeling the pinch. My advice is to go where opportunity presents itself, cold or no cold. At least with hard work and personal self discipline the chances of advancement in life is far better than staying here and living a stressful life with an uncertain future.
