Lover or Fighter?

You know that saying, 'I'm a lover not a fighter'?

Lover = Tends to be passive in confrontations and looks for a good way to abase anger, accepts people easily

Fighter = When the opportunity arrises will take a more aggressive approach to dealing with situations, not easily convinced that a person wants to be a friend

Which one are you?

Nope, no one is lukewarm, it is either you react aggressively or passively. No reaction would be considered passive or 'dead' depending on how you look at it wink.gif

See, now JB, I disagree.  I think most people are lukewarm.  I think I have violent tendancies, but I have learned to control myself as I have aged.  Soooooo, if forced to choose, I will say I am a fighter, but in reality it depends upon the situation.  I try to avoid confrontation, but if you confront me directly in an agressive manner, you will definately get a response. smile.gif

I agree with what tenaheff said about people being lukewarm.  I am pretty much a lover, but if cornered and approached aggressively, I will certainly try to deal with the person in a calmly manner.  But if that doesn't work, I will get aggressive if the situation gets that far.  I have used the cool approach to someone being aggressive and it sometimes does remedy the situation.

Lukewarm? :spock: You people are boring! Why do you want to be inbetween when you can just say you are a fighter and end it right here? (joke) wink.gif

Anyway, seriously, think about it, we are not tlaking about when everything is nice and normal, we are talking about 'crunch' time and a decision has to be made. No one is really lukewarm, if they are they are dead. For instance, you are in a situation where you see your spouse kissing another person in a passionate way, what do you do? You cannot say you take a lukewarm position, because what would that mean? That you go up to your spouse and say, 'How was your day, and by the way, why are you doing that?' A 'lover' approach might be to run off and cry and then later confront or just leave, while the fighter approach may be to go up to them and after throwing something at your spouse's head you proceed to give him/her a piece of your mind.

Lover Fighter

In that given scenario, I would say I am a fighter!  I just didn't like the definitions you had in your original post.  Fighter sounded so negative ;D.  I am definately a fighter, but I don't think I assume everyone is out to get me.  I do believe people want to be friends, which you indicated a fighter wouldn't.  So, basically, I am not a lover I am a fighter, so, don't cross me! tongue.gif (just kidding people!)

Tenaheff, yes my first post does give fighter a overly agressive role, let me downplay it a bit so that is more agreeable.

By the way, I am more of a fighter I believe, I cannot stand nonsense.
