Silas stands tall among men, with lean limbs belying his strength. His face is framed by shoulder length hair and a well cropped beard, both a reddish brown color. His green eyes often have a thoughtful look to them, and in peaceful locales, his face often carries a warm smile. When the peace is threatened however, he bears a look of grim determination.
He typically selects and cares for gear and clothing based on function before form. If not going to a social event, his appearance is thus often worn and drab.
Silas approaches life with a simple philosophy. Aid those who deserve compassion. Aware of the futility of only helping people one by one, he has turned to the idea of focusing on building up communities as a whole, acting to inspire others to build and act with the people in general in mind.
Advisor Description
As martial men go, Captain Casavir is an impressive specimen, strength and speed paired with a not insignificant amount of skill. Unlike many of his peers, he earned his position purely on merit, and holds his men to very high standards even as he leads from the front. Casavir is principally concerned with the preservation of order, while he seeks to do good, he does not share Silas' idealism.
He rather bluntly introduced himself to Silas by approaching him in the street and inviting him for a few tankards of ale.Silas remains uncertain of his motives and story, but is glad to have a friend, especially one he feels he can trust.
For Casavir's part, he can see much of the young man's potential, but is somewhat exasperated by what he perceives to be persistent naivete.
Why Am I Silas?
Silas would rather build than destroy. As he sees it, coming to the aid of others is in everyone's interest, his own included. Compassion begets compassion, and lays the foundation for society to reach ever new heights. It is for this reason his aura speaks of goodness.
