This is the missile that has a mounted cam that can find its target. I once met the scientist who worked on its development. This has definitely changed warfare by making sure targets were destroyed in exactness.

I think they are correctly termed guided missiles and not simply bombs since they are directed to a target so yeah they are missiles.

Missile or bomb I think that the guidance system that guides this to its target is what helped change warfare. Before many bombs and missiles were not so accurate. Now with this guidance system in play we are getting much better precision bombing in play.

Jdams have certainly caused a lot of our enemies to go underground with their warehouses now that they know we can just point and click BOOM! I think it should be considered a missile too cause its not just dropped flat out like a regular bomb would, but I'm no expert.
