Would You Refuse Halloween Candy?

If one of the houses you visited on Halloween was giving you candy you really did not like will you still take it so you aren't rude or say "No thanks" and explain?

I wouldn't take it. I will apologize in a nice way, say I am allergic or whatever just so they don't feel bad and maybe they will offer something else or move on to the other house.

I would take it as a way to use to trade with my friends. If I know they like it I can trade up. That is how I always was with candy. No matter what kind it is there is someone out there willing to trade for it.

I would take it because I like all the variation. Even if it was something that truly disgust me (Which is rare), as KNToran says, you can usually trade it away to somebody. My least favorite candy has always been candycorn, and I never understood why it was popular, but others seemed to love it, so I would trade it for whatever they wanted to give me.

Candycorn is great but only in small amounts. I rather them on gingerbread houses. I prefer packaged candy of any type while I am suspicious of anything baked or exposed and will give it to the dogs so they have their own Halloween. *laugh*.

I would never refuse candy. I like sweets and that is that. I like chocolate, candy and other stuff. I think that I am [too] old for [Halloween]. Don't know why though.

I don't do this anymore but as a kid I would try to ask in a very polite way if they had something else to offer because I did not want it to waste and they actually thanked me for telling them. Maybe I just grew up in a nice neighborhood.
