This sounds like it's her misspeaking. People aren't perfect and if the press is going to jump on everything and cry wolf people will stop listening. Then, when there is something that is actually important for us to listen to we either won't be listening or won't believe it.
The Office of Government Ethics suggests the White House should take disciplinary action against Kellyanne Conway, a top adviser to President Trump, for endorsing Ivanka Trump's products in a TV interview.
Walter Shaub, the director of the ethics office, wrote in a letter that there is "Strong reason to believe" Conway violated ethics standards and that disciplinary action is warranted. He likened what Conway did to appearing in a TV commercial.
Conway said in a Fox News Channel interview last week that people should "Go buy Ivanka's stuff." A day earlier, the president had attacked the Nordstrom department store chain for treating Ivanka Trump unfairly. Ref. CNN.
I'm not surprised. It wasn't just with what she said but how she said it. The journalist was talking about ethics and Conway made it frivolous by adding that she would go buy it and encouraged everyone to do the same. That was like saying to hell with ethics.
