Touring Thailand by tuk-tuk
For centuries, the River of Kings, the Chao Phraya, has been the lifeblood of Bangkok, so why not use it to explore this sprawling city? It's not as easy as hopping on and off at various riverside attractions, however. Ironically, some attractions are hard to reach by boat because there's no wharf nearby, for example, and finding that temple/restaurant/market you saw so clearly from the water involves negotiating a maze of backstreets.
