Previous owner defaulted on property tax
If a Previous owner defaulted on paying the property tax that I've now bought then who is liable?

If you have purchased a property with a tax lien against it you will have to make sure the selling price took care of those liens. IF the sale of the property did not take care of the tax lien then you could be responsible. This is something you should check on before you place a bid on the property.
This is also a good way to get into a house. If you see a tax lien sale you can purchase a home taxes and work on getting the house as you are paying the property tax.
