On Wednesday, Perkins took his 9-week-old son to the hospital saying the boy was acting as if his arm was hurt, according to Salt Lake County Jail records. On Friday, the Safe and Healthy Families pediatric specialist told Taylorsville police their examination showed the boy suffered a broken arm two to four weeks ago, "and the mechanism of injury was consistent with child abuse," jail records state. The arm was re-injured on Wednesday, even though the parents claimed they were not aware the arm was broken, which is why they did not get it treated, according to jail records. Ref. Source 3
