Trinidad & Tobago Bullying
All forms of harassment covered: cyberbullying, stalking, demanding lunch money, etc.
When a bully acts on a victim in Trinidad & Tobago is it because they know there will be little done by the authorities?
Bullying is one of the biggest issues of the island's youths, it can be found everywhere where you can see a number of children making fun of each other for the reason of having a good laugh even though they know that it is going to hurt other people. A lot of these same youths grow up to be murderers, thieves, and drug dealers only to land up somewhere that they will never escape once it happens.

Comments: This is nothing new. Bullying has been around since creation. The real problem is that WE have lost the ability to deal with it or to minimize it due to many reasons. (Economic, family, social values, ethnicity, physical and mental needs etc).
Bullying takes place in offices, schools, play parks, homes and are done by citizens from every walk of life- clergy to maids, politician to beggars.
The long term solution is a generational one and it will be a herculean task as the entire Nation has to be submerged into a pool of social, communicative, personal, ethical and respectful waters. Even this will not eradicate the problem but will certainly help in restoring some degree of self worth on the island.
