Feeling grateful? No, thanks
Not everyone experiences gratitude in response to the generosity of others. This could have to do with an autonomous personal style. There's nothing wrong with autonomy. But to what extent could autonomy interfere with how gratitude helps relationships? Ref. Source 4o.
Feeling grateful is an indicator of a happy person. When others do nice things for you and you aren't grateful I don't feel you can be a happy person. I like to do things on my own and not need help. In the event someone offers or does something nice for me even if I feel I didn't need the help I am still grateful. At least the person thought enough about me to try to help.
