Lia smiles at Cratol " You are right. In my haste to help the people I didn't think of that. We should split up here. The main danger down here is most likely from where you are going. I'll go scout the path ahead to see where it leads. Maybe one or two others wish to go with me and the others can help you Cratol. "
Lia begins walking and hears Onwen. " I understand that Onwen. I just don't feel that the people above have that much time. I can't rest down here knowing horrible things are happening above our heads. There is no reason you can't rest however. Once the spiders are dealt with you should be fine if you can go back to the room with the halfling skeleton." She waits to see if anyone is going with her for a few moments then departs to the left passageway again.
Out of Character: : I assume the short rest is still considered an hour. That's time the townspeople don't have.

Sar'ai and Onwen investigate the vials together. Unfortunately, it looks like most of them have denatured, probably due to extreme age. Only three look to have retained their properties. Onwen is fairly certain these are potions designed to impart the effect of a spell on the imbiber, but is not immediately able to tell what they do.
Out of Character: yes, short rest would take an hour.
Nyzahr has witnessed the Blaze about to be split in two, even three different groups, what with the young Necromancer and the half-drow busy with the vials, the monk eager to deal with spiders and the elven do-gooder eager to save the day, our bard is bemused yet eager to see how the events unfold.
She digs out a leather pouch from her pack and pulls out a small Dragonchess figurine carved in ebony.
She looks at it quizzically. It represents…
Out of Character: : rolls 1 or 2 - a tower: she will follow Lia and help with the endangered people under siege
Rolls 3 or 4 - a pawn: she will remain by Sar'ai and Owen's side and see what may befall them all while remaining in the rear of their group
Rolls 5 or 6 - a jester: she will follow Cratol into what seems to be the spiders' lair, weapons at the ready and a mischievous smirk on her face.

When it seems that Sar'ai and Onwen have the chest of vials in hand, and nothing has gone awry, Poljen will head into the cavern. When he reaches the point where Cratol and Lia go separate ways he says, "Lia, I will follow you. Cratol, if you run into trouble, call out for assistance. We will come running. At least as fast as I can in the dark."
Upon seeing the green and glowing fungus, Cahleth steps up cautiously to inspect. He I initially keeps a distance of 15 feet, but inches up as he feels safe to (Nature check).
When he hears conversation between Lia and Cratol he knows he must make a decison too, and it's an easy one for him. "These people need us. They are the reason we are here. Poljen, my torch can help light the way."
Cahleth is fairly sure the glowy stuff is some kind of fungal mass, but can discern almost nothing else about it.
Onwen and Sar'ai find that most of the others went on ahead while they were looking at the vials. The two wizards can hear feet approaching, and a light flickers from down the tunnel. It seems that a few people are approaching from the direction of the fort.
Out of Character: Okay, as far as I can tell, Cratol and Nyzahr are the only ones confirmed headed to the right at the moment. Is anyone else going with?

After giving the fungal mass a cursory inspection, Cahleth shakes his head. "No time for this anyhow. We have more pressing matters."
He calls back to the wizards, "If either of you get a chance, you might be interested in this fungus."
He then straightens out his tunic, and gripping his torch and rapier, joins Poljen's side to investigate the dark passage further.
