Targul continues to move with Lia while keeping a careful lookout for anything that might be waiting in the shadows to attack.
Based on what they've discovered so far, they'll be lucky if this new tunnel leads out into the fresh air.
Tallis responds to Cahleth, "Well, no, its is not ideal, but I think it is better than packing more of them into the courtyard, where they're at the mercy of anything soaring over the walls. Like the arrows I am sure we'll be seeing soon."
The main group soon sees Nyzahr returning from the right hand side, alone

Lia and Targul continue on through the smaller passage for quite some time. It looks like it had originally been cut by water flowing from somewhere ahead of them.
Abruptly, the passage stops entirely, in a wall of stone too smooth to be natural. A number of arcane runes have been carved into its surface, arranged in a pattern around a roughly rectangular space.

Cratol continues on, and finds a second, even larger, lake. The water here seems to be dripping in very slowly from somewhere above.
This part of the cavern comes to an end, but there are a few fissures in the walls that could be explored, and a trickle of water from the lake leads him to a hole in the cave floor, roughly circular, and about 2 paces in diameter. It appears quite deep, and climbing in, or out for that matter, would not be a simple affair.
Lia grins excitedly. " This has to be the door out. We know it is safe this far. Targul, will you please go back and tell the others what we have found? Tell them that we need a wizard up here to help with this. Preferably Onwen. I'll work on this while you are gone. " She will begin studying the wall to try to find a way to open it.
Specific Action: She will use Arcane Knowledge to determine what she can of the door and how it opens and closes.
Out of Character: : The wizard she trusted the least before is now the most trustworthy to her after what happened above. Sar'ai running past them and leaving them at the barricade really bothers her just like it did Poljen on top of the whole solo scouting mission.

Cratol will explore the fissures to see if anything interesting turn up there before checking out the hole a bit closer. He wants to make sure this place is safe for all if they need to come down here to escape. He also wants to make sure no one else will be coming down here from another way.
Lia is fairly certain that this is transmutation magic, directed at the stone face before her. This kind of enchantment is usually activated with a command phrase, and the words needed should be a part of the runework somewhere, but the spell phrasing is complex, and it eludes her at the moment.

None of the fissures appear wide enough for Cratol to safely wiggle through. A halfling might be able to manage some of the larger ones, or a kobold for that matter. On the other hand, none appear to at least directly head above ground.
The hole in the cave floor goes almost straight down for about 25 feet before opening up into another cavern. Cratol thinks he can see a lot of water down below.
Targul will head back, as requested by Lia, to inform the others of the door they discovered. On his journey he will keep his eyes open for anything they may have missed along the way, let alone any other cave denizens that they may have missed.
