While Sarai casts her ritual Onwen produces his journal and begins to make notes along with a sketch of the stone door and the arcane markings. He also begins to draw out a rough sketch of a map.
Onwen is able to obtain his sketches, and has the time to get some detail in there.
_______________
Cratol seems to recall hearing about a degenerate race of semiaquatic humanoids that used idols like this. They were rarely found on the surface, instead living underground.
He does spot something in the burrow, a chunk of some chitinous material, like part of the shell of some massive insect.
He continues on through the tunnel, it splits about one hundred feet down, the left passage appears to be slightly smaller.
[I have to say, this is amusing. Most of the group is waffling about in front of the magic stone door, and meanwhile we have Cratol's Great Solo Adventure.]

Cratol picks his way down the right hand passage. It opens up once more, and he finds himself at the shores of yet another lake. There appears to be the remnants of a settlement here, if a crude one. Multiple huts made from mud are scattered about, with many more totems of the kind he saw before.
The village appears to be inhabited solely by dozens of unmoving statues, of a fishlike humanoid race in a variety of terrified poses. Either some statuemaker had interesting tastes, or something with the ability to petrify living creatures moved through here at some point. Based on the condition of the place, it appears that it has been months since anyone living occupied this place.
Lia grits her teeth in frustration. She stalks back and forth in impatience. "We must get through this door. Several people have been studying the door. Does anyone have any idea how to open this with magic or should Poljen attack it? We are running out of time. "
Out of Character: : We are stuck until one of the arcane users opens the door. ;(If anything goes wrong with Cratol there is no way for any help to reach him in time. I thought Poljen was a risk taker. We have a party full of daredevils. It's only a matter of time before tragedy strikes someone *wink* Two clerics might not be enough to keep up with this.
There are some smaller creatures fluttering about, mostly insects, but Cratol doesn't spot any movement from creatures of significance.
He finds an old metal buckler, it is dingy and bearing more than a bit of rust, but it might act as a decent mirror with a fair amount of elbow grease.
There are some minor valuables scattered around, mostly small trinkets.
[Based on what you guys have found, all Lia or indeed anyone else needs to do to activate the enchantment is say the words you've worked out, out loud.]

Lia hears the proper command phrase. " Well, here we go. Everyone get ready. " She calls out the phrase worked out earlier and waits for the door to open. Lia looks intently for what she will see when the passageway opens. She puts her sword and shield away and readies her bow with an arrow.
