Hearing Targul and seeing Lia, Cahleth too gets and arrow ready. He doesn't let it loose though, waiting just a moment to see how the first two shots land. If the scout is still standing, Cahleth relaxes his fringer on the string, sending his arrow hissing through the wind.
With any luck, the scout falls where he stands. If he turns to run, Cahleth doesn't hesitate to let his shot strike him in the back.
Targul's arrow rips into the man's gut just before Lia's shot buries itself in a tree behind her target. The man turns, and takes a few unsteady steps away from the threat before Cahleth's arrow takes him high and hard in the back, driving him to the ground. He twitches a few times, but is dead before the group can reach him.
The scout is gone, and the way is clear. Shortly, you can hear shouting, and sounds of battle ahead. Elanna reports that those at the caravan have set up a shield wall, and are defending against a large number of bowmen sending missiles their way.
The party can preserve the element of surprise, or just charge in. You're close enough that the former won't take much longer than the latter, but a lot can happen in those few seconds.
Geoffroy followed his companions, as they worked to keep the element of surprise when coming upon the scout. Two reacted quickly, though Lia in fear of Targul.
Despite perhaps greater skill with a bow, it was the wood elf who missed the shot with their larger friend aiming true and hitting the man the gut with Cahleth's arrow finishing him off.
The morninglord sympathized with Lia, she missing despite reacting so quickly and having the skill she did leaving Goeffroy to say to her, "At least he will not be giving us away." He was somewhat worried Targul might take offense to the wood elf's actions, perhaps offering the idea that she did not believe he could have hit the scout.
On what to do, he would say, "Perhaps some of us, those who would not be very good at sneaking up on the enemy, could charge forward while others try to keep the element of surprise?" He felt it was a good idea, or perhaps at least had merit, if he kept attention drawn on him the others of the Silver Blaze could move forward at their own strength.

Sar'ai tells the group to hold for just a moment and she can get a better understanding of the current layout of the battlefield and where best we may strike from. However, she says that she will be unable to respond to anyone for she will be both deaf and blind but will be relaying what she sees in real time.
With that, the half-drow's eyes turn almost opaque as she now is using Elanna as her eyes and ears.
Out of Character: keeping Elanna within 100' of Sar'ai or else the link breaks and going to relay in real time what exactly is happening at the caravan and where might be the best point for the group to engage. Also a better understanding of the actual numbers of the different enemy types (I.e. Archers, melee, casters) and if any stick out as a leader.
And again, Sar'ai cannot respond to anyone though she will be communicating what she is seeing.
Assuming the body is not out in the open, Cahleth will creep up to inspect. "Surely he wouldn't be so foolish as to carry marching orders on his person… doesn't hurt to look though." Cahleth hopes to find anything of information (Paperwork, a signet ring, a tattoo, anything declaring an allegiance or affiliation).
If the body is out in the open, Cahleth will simply await Sar'ai's information.
Poljen nods at Geoffroy's thoughts and sets off without a word, moving quietly as possible until close enough that he could begin to do what he does best.
The Silver Blaze all are used to his normal smile, which could be described as 'goofy,' or silly,' and he is sure he once heard Lia call it 'simple-minded,' but they are also used to the change that sometimes overcomes him when the fighting is joined. The smile which usually displays his upper teeth, becomes almost feral, with his lower lip peeling back. Also, his eyes almost seem to change shape, and become brighter somehow. And as he begins his final charge forward into the largest grouping of bandits he can see, he lets himself slip into what he calls his 'Battle Madness.' He does not howl or scream, at least until actual swordplay has begun, an his feet keep him moving, almost in a dance as he weaves his way among the enemy.
Out of Character: : Stealth until within 30 feet, or seen, then Bonus Action to Rage, and attack a bad guy. Attacks against him during Rage are at Disadvantage.
Seeing the field through Elanna's eyes, Sar'ai can observe a great deal.
Most of the caravan's horses, along with the noncombatants, are sitting further back along the road with a small escort, well away from the conflict.
Sir Onthar apparently had people retrieve the three mantlets packed on the wagons, sturdy wooden panels with handles, they're large enough for several to hide behind. They're arranged in a slight arc in between the caravan and their assailants. Men with shields are positioned to plug gaps in the cover. For the time being your allies aren't returning much in the way of fire, just ensuring they can endure.
Your foe is about 150' south of your current position, directly in between you and the caravan. They've formed a line of their own, with a few shields in front, and seem focused on saturating the caravan with arrows for now, but that might change as it becomes clearly futile.
Nearly all of them are using a bow of some description, but some are clearly better than others with them, and all of them have some manner of melee weapon.
Working a heavy crossbow, and shouting curses at both the other bandits and his targets in turn is a big brute of a man. He seems to be in charge here at the moment.
There's another figure who stands out. A thin man in black robes who doesn't seem to be doing anything at the moment. His involvement becomes clear when someone, probably Lady Miruvial, flings a fireball towards the bandits. He raises a hand and says something, and the spell dissipates midflight.
Back on the ground, Cahleth checks the dead man. The closest thing to identifying marks he spots is scar tissue around the wrists, of the kind associated with a long time spent in manacles. His pockets contain little of interest, a piece of bread wrapped in leather, a coin purse with about 9 silver, some twine, etc.
[Don't forget initiative rolls whenever you guys move in.]

Cratol moves quickly with the others as they get ready to strike from behind the ones attacking the caravan. He will move as quickly and silently as possible until he is in combat melee range. He will then attack the closest target with his staff. HE will also attack with a bonus unarmed strike that he gets by using a monk weapon.
