Fay listens to Poljen and hears the frustration in his voice. He understands the feelings the man expressed. But he also understands that it would have saved precious resources and quite a few lives if Lia's plan had succeeded. "Be not wroth with his words, Amillë. The Mountain speaks from frustration. He is a warrior and that is the way he knows" he says in a low voice. "I will go out in the courtyard to rest and sing a lay of brave souls doing brave work if any would'st care to listen."
Out of Character: Fay will sing his Song of Rest in the courtyard. Anyone who can hear gets an additional 1d6 healing. This may require a ruling from Daishain. Also, For your information to the group, Fay doesn't gain back much in the way of any of his abilities from this short rest… but such is life.
With a plan in place, most of our heros settle down to rest from the fight with the dragon in their own way. Tallis can be seen from the walls occasionally, with her two remaining outriders. Between their knowledge of the town, their skill in guerrilla fighting, and the occasional bit of fire support from the walls, the trio make themselves a constant pain, harrying the enemy before melting away like ghosts. It is rare that they are able to cause real damage before having to flee the scene, but they're keeping the other army on their toes.
Fay's song of rest is welcome in the fort. Not many are trying to rest up here at the moment, but those who are appreciate it.
Poljen finds there are no birds about at first. They seem to have fled the area when Lennithon arrived, and are being slow in returning. The hour he had set aside for rest was almost over when some finally arrive. Two pigeons land nearby to take advantage of the bread scraps. There are some crows about as well, but they seem more interested in the dead bodies produced by this conflict.

Cratol opens the passage once more, and doesn't hear anything. The activity in this part of town seems to be minimal at the moment. The first thing he hears is from the passage behind him. Tallis and Bubbles come trotting out, leading Roscoe, Tolman, and their respective mounts. If Cratol doesn't say/do anything, she'll salute the monk, and the trio will disappear towards the north.
Cratol will not say anything and continue to go out and have a look around. IF he sees any of the enemy that were killed he will loot them. If he sees any that are alive he will try to avoid them unless one or two then he will try to sneak up towards them.
The first encounter of note Cratol comes across is a pair of bugbears to the southeast of the cavern. They look like mercenaries rather than a true part of the army.
They're sitting around a small fire, well hidden from the fort, talking and laughing about something in the goblinoid tongue.
There's an odd looking creature spitted over the fire, slowly being cooked. As one of the bugbears gets up to turn it, Cratol realizes it had been a gnome.
Poljen grins upon seeing the pigeons. He begins his ritual and after several minutes throws the last bits of bread to the birds and speaks to them. It would be too much to hoe the one he directed before was here, but if not he would once more ask permission to see through its eyes, "To help drive those that brought the dragon tot own away. We have already slain the dragon as you see, and hope to get rid of the rest of them."
Lia looks with irritation at Poljen and is about to speak when she hears Fay. Turning she smiles. " You are very perceptive Ionneg. Wise before your years. I think I shall accompany you to hear you play. " She walks out with Fay. She can be heard asking about who taught him to play.
Out of Character: : Lia will accompany him up to the fort. The cleric will climb up to the battlements and relax while listening to him for her short rest. She will sit below the ramparts as to not be visible to the enemy.
