People are gathering by the rear exit to the cavern at the appointed time. The mood down here has improved considerably with word that the towns defenders stood firm against a dragon, and miraculously prevailed. There is some discussion as to which gods to praise for the victory, as Chauntea is not exactly known for such intervention.

Poljen says, "We should leave now. We move slowly, taking care not to cause trouble along the way. We should be able to get in position before all the light is gone so we can get a good look at our objectives. Plan the actual raid. Move into positions for our attack. Then once it is darker, and the enemy seems to be relatively at ease, we can strike."
Gay looks at Poljen, he knows he should be diplomatic but he also thinks the big man may appreciate direct. He goes with that approach, "Son of Nels, methinks leaving while light still shines is a dangerous plan. We should leave when the sun falls. This will help us remain unseen and we can move right into the attack. That is, unless one who has been without can tell us of a way to guarantee we remain unseen."

Poljen says, "Tallis and her people have been in and out several times. If we are careful we should be fine. And since I lack your eyes, I would like to see our objective up close before light is gone. But I wish to hear from the others."
Lia looks between Poljen and Fay. " I feel that we should wait until dark. That was the point of us discussing earlier who would lead or trail with dark vision. If we leave now that isn't needed. Leaving under the cover of darkness pretty much guarantees we can reach our objective unseen. We then have people with dark vision that can direct everyone where to go. Leaving now is taking a great risk. If we are sighted before we reach the prisoners all is for naught. That is what I think anyways. "

Geoffrey will go with his campaigns to aid with he plan, having prepared himself with a short rest to meditate on prayer and calm his nerves. In arriving he says inolving the play, "I feel that we should wait, and trust it and our companions who can see well in the dark."
Continuing the cleric says in assurance, "If our presence is revealed or we otherwise need the light, I have the way of providing that." Being a Morninglord of Lathander, light for Geoffroy was an easy thing, and again he trusted Lia and the others would be the eyes they did not have in the dark.
