Tallis, Mari, and Lia ride north, and then east.
There is a small mounted patrol riding through this area, but thanks to Tallis's direction, it is deftly avoided.
It is around midday when you get eyes on the main group. It is immediately apparent that something is wrong. All of the prisoners are gone, as are most of the wagons. Only a portion of Cyanwrath's fighting force is visible.
As you watch, three wagons with an escort of around forty men split off, and move southeast away from the road. A small band slowly follows behind the splinter group for a time before rejoining those on the road. Two wagons and around fifty men remain on the main path.

Lia squeezes her hand into a fist in frustration. " They have outsmarted us here. If not for us doing this we would have missed it. That's alright though. We know now. I suppose that we should find out where their destination is first and then ride on to meet the approaching army. How does that sound to you two?"
Mari grins. " I think that we should follow them now. No point in warning the army without knowing exactly where they are. " They both look to Tallis.

"I don't think we can easily find out their destination from here. That could take days of following them along their new path. You said you could stay in contact with the others? We could point them the right way, and ride on ahead. They can follow the main group, and we use their updates to get the reinforcements on track."
Lia smiles. " Of course. That is a better plan of action. Hold on just a minute. I will tell the others what is happening. "
She closes her eyes and calls upon Sune to send a message. Lia focuses on the image of Poljen and mentally messages him. " Trick. Main army is leaving road to head southeast. Only 50 people left on road ahead of you. We meet reinforcements still. You head southeast. " She stays focused awaiting his return message.
Out of Character: : She cast sending. Poljen has to respond immediately or he can't at all. Max is 25 words. It almost feels as if it is a telegraph with the limited word count. Daishain, since we just had the idea in the morning she didn't have sending prepared. I wasn't even thinking of that. Is it okay to use it to advance the story or should I edit this and we will have to wait until the next day to message Poljen? I don't want to cheat the system.

“I am not for sure,” Geoffroy admitted to Velon's question, a fact that bothered him though he did say, “They might for prisoners to conscript to their army with fear or perhaps certain magic is used or words spoken.” The cleric had waited for them all to return, glad as well to see his sister unharmed though not much had been accomplished.
It had been explained to him the situation and what had been discussed, though for the moment Goeffroy agree it was better not to rush a strategy just to take out a few kobolds. Still, moving to where the others were discussing things he says with a sigh, “If only we had eyes and hears on the inside, someone who allowed themselves to be captured and how relay a message back.” Yet even he understood this would be dangerous.
Looking to Fay, he says, “Your plan had merit, but rarely is one's first idea always the best. Do not be disheartened, though as there are many details to go over and we could still use your help.” Geoffroy too noticed how Mari was starting to get along with those of the Silver Blaze, along with Lia's son, and considered how things may develop between all of them.
Out of Character: For those that don't know, my character's name is intentionally spell Geoffroy not Geoffrey.
Also, his words of having someone infiltrate the enemy army in some way was for purpose. An idea that I have, but one I am not sure how or when we might pull such off or even if it is a good idea.
Poljen suddenly sits upright in his saddle as he 'hears' Lia in his head. He has not been expecting this message so soon, but tries to quickly form a response.
"We will start southeast. Looking for trail. Good luck. Stay safe. Thanks."
Poljen calls out for the others with the main group. "Lia just sent me a magic message, saying the main force of the army has left the road and begun heading southeast. We will start breaking trail ourselves to find them. Cratol, ride ahead and find our scouts, give them the information to join us, then they can move ahead once more."
Out of Character: : Daishain, if you need any rolls from us, please let us know.
