Much of the priest's monologue is full of propaganda and praises exemplifying the virtues of the Dragon Queen. It can be hard to listen to.

The gist of his message is that soon Tiamat will be free of the prison she had been forced into centuries ago, and walk this world in the flesh. The world will then be remade in her image. With the worthy being lifted up, and the survivors among the unworthy ground to dust in rightful servitude.

To bring about this glorious day, her servants need to prepare by gathering wealth and people. The former is for fitting tribute and needed supplies, but he does not mention what the latter is needed for

The priest keeps talking about how it will be the might, cunning, and discipline of the Cobalt Claw that will bring about Tiamat's return, thus securing their place as firsts among her servants. This is supposedly thanks to the genius of someone named Wyrmspeaker Galvan.

At about this time, there's a cry of alarm to your south. You can soon see guards converging on that area.

Thread Main RPG Dragons and Dungeons e Daishains

Lia hears this and struggles to keep her anger from being evident on her face. Thinking she has heard all that she will hear she is about to rejoin her companions when the alarm cry begins. Icy fear runs through her veins as she thinks her companions have been discovered at first. Realizing quickly that they have not so far she staggers off to rejoin her companions all while looking to the south hoping to see what caused the alarm.

Mari looks towards the sound of the commotion wondering what is happening. She gives the others a worried look.

Fay hears the cry of alarm and worry creases his face. He then realizes it can't be from any of them. As Lia draws near he says in low voice, "Mayhaps the reinforcements arrive already? We should be prepared. Let us check the cliff face."

Word spreads, apparently some men have been found dead near the southern cliff. Guards are asking army members to report to the mess tents while they search for whoever is responsible.

Your movements are still going unremarked for now, but that is likely to change shortly, as grumbling people filter towards the center of camp. Where do you go?

Poljen gestures to Tallis and says quietly, "If they need to be pulled up, or we need to charge down, I think you'd best be still up here, but you can sneak back over to the other side. See if you can get there and find out what is casing the ruckus."

Out of Character: : I hate dumping that on an NPC but it makes the most sense to me. If one of us was sneaky, hey, that would be the choice….

The halfling disappears into the darkness, followed by Bubbles.

Lia receives the message from Nyzahr and hears Fay. She glances at the two of them and then on to the whole group. " Yes, it is time. We can't be here all night or we will be discovered. Let's go to the cliff face and look to where the prisoners are. It's impossible to free them tonight. There are just too many of the enemy to get out with the prisoners much less outrun. I think tomorrow night is the time to free them, after the bulk of the army leaves. We still need more inside information. "

She purses her lips under the cloak. " I have an idea. Nyzahr, you can make someone turn invisible. How about we make our way to the prisoners. When we have a chance then Nyzahr can make the prisoner invisible. Then we walk out of here hopefully with no issues and get back to our camp. That prisoner should be able to tell us all we need to know. " She hesitates then asks. " So, what does everyone think?"
