Intrigued by the small dragon-like infant, Nyzahr approaches him with a cooing sound.
Above her head, all hell seems to have broken loose: sounds of mayhem and screams of rage and pain mix with the smell of burnt flesh and the hiss of acid.
She sings a lullaby to the small dragonborn and cradles him into her arms: whatever happens, Misfortune brought this one into being and she is aware that it must fulfill its destiny.
Out of Character:
Nyzahr is intent on picking up the baby dragonborn and carrying it to safety to the entrance of the cave. She will remain aware of what goes on up - inside the Stalker's lair - and be ready to protect anyone's retreat if need be, but will remain at the entrance with the dragon child for now.

Fay sees Lia go limp in the creature's jaws and he screams for Lia, "Amillë". His concentrates on this creatures mind and whispers the words pain, death, deep inside of it. Then he moves forward with his scimitars drawn, intent on cutting the creature to ribbons. "Die vermin" are the
Out of Character: Fay uses his last spell slot to cast Dissonant Whispers. Then he moves forward to attack the creatures face… hoping to provide others flanking attacks. He is throwing caution to the wind at this point. I don't have my books with me here in KC. Is there anything he can do for his next action to make his attacks more effective? This is even at the cost of making himself more vulnerable.
Velon moves immediately after his previous strike, continuing to round behind the beast and hoping it is confused as the others surround it. A flash of light appears in one of his hands as he calls upon additional power from his dragon God. He moves in for a vicious strike, sword still blazing with light and cracking with thunder upon a hit. He's hoping to put this abomination down for good with the fury of Bahamut behind him!
Out of character: Switching to booming blade attack with a level 2 Smite if Velon hits. Using a bonus action to burn a slot into sorcery points so that I have more options next turn if we can't finish this thing. Velon will definitely pop shield if he's hit. Could be out of slots if all of the above occur! (Daishain, I'm sure you know but if Velon can hit there's the 2d8 thunder damage the next time the Stalker moves as well. Love these two spells! I should have swapped for Booming one turn sooner.).
Geoffory is in time to see what the vile creature had done, and gives a cry of his own saying, "Lia, no!" He will move forward as quickly as he can, though wished that he'd gotten there sooner and perhaps prevented the attack.
Looking to the Stalker, his eyes glow with an inner light as flames of light burning in his hand before he takes aim with Scorching Ray at the the monster before him and Morningliege says in challange, "May the light of Lathander's brilliance burn away thy evil."
No matter how it goes, Geoffroy will prepare for the creature to hopefully turn its attention to him and let go of the wood elf for the others to pull away. If he needs to, the cleric would even come in with his morningstar.

Lia looks at the creature coming at her. She tries to stop it from heading towards Fay. Lia moves to duck the attack as it snaps at her. Unable to escape she feels the jaws closing around her. She shrieks in agony as bones buckle and acid is burning into her. It is too much for her and she collapses in the jaws of the creature.
Final Round
Cratol closes in and strikes with two hits from his staff, and Fay follows up with one last Whisper. Geoffroy enters the fray as well, spraying fire from his hand, two bolts strike true, burning furrows in the Stalker's hide.
For its part, the Stalker drops Lia, and swings around to face the one who had hurt it badly a few moments ago. Straining, Velon manages to block the creature's bite with a shield of arcane energy. The paladin strikes back with another hard blow. The sword is driven deep into the creature's eye socket, and holy fire burns within the skull. Twitching, the creature collapses.
A few moments, pass, it remains still.
Now that people have a moment to look around, you can see you're in a relatively small cave. The walls are lined with webbing and the bodies of various creatures.
The other passage from the intersection continues for a few dozen paces before turning right.
[Note: Several people took notable amounts of acid damage in this fight. If anyone wants to come out of this with distinctive scarring, feel free to describe it.]

Out of Character: : Sorry for missing posting gang. Another busy night, followed by brief sleep, seeing my boys "Graduate" from day care to kindergarten, back to sleep, up once again for work and back to the double homicide scene. But I do not apologize for going on the attack against this creature. I am sure that will be discussed in character.
In Character: : Poljen desperately saws the webbing, sure that if he can get free they can slay this monster. But just as he manages to free himself, it stops moving. Lia is also motionless on the cavern floor. He grabs up his enchanted weapon and moves to the others. "Can anyone heal Lia?" He is exhausted, sore, but relieved the monster has been slain.
