Velon notices Poljen falter and redoubles his efforts, charging a pair of men on his way towards the caster. An aura of bright light washes over his as he charges, then disappears. He attempts to duck any strike from the first man as he steps into position between them. As he raises his sword to swing at the first, the aura returns and washes over him briefly as he calls upon his magical reserves to enhance his attack. In a flash he strikes at the first and the second man, each strike resonating with an unnatural boom of thunder.
Out of combat: Using a bonus action as Velon charges to burn a 2nd level spell slot into 2 more sorcery points, and then twinning boom blade against both targets.
Goeffroy pauses, realizing what he is doing and with a sign sees that he had left himself charge in the like the knight that he once trained as. No, as a cleric of Lathander he had better ways of attacking his fews and moving behind one of companions for as to better position himself.
If he was able to step back without being harmed, the Morningliege will begin a prayer to his God so as to call upon his sacred light. With an hot orb of burning light, not harming Geoffroy, he prepares the scorching rays of Lathander and aims at the three nearest enemies. Speaking softly he says, "May thy hand ever guide mine."
Out of Character: : If I need to wait a turn because of breaking from combat, that is fine. Maybe I don't even need to disengage, all I know is that you did say he had swung and missed an opponent and thus was in combat.

Round Three
Cratol kills his first target outright, and knocks his second to the ground. Lia hits the enemy cleric with a beam of light that leaves him glowing for a time, and Nyzahr casts a draining spell of her own, causing four of the enemy to move a little more sluggishly. Geoffroy fires off rays of fire, unfortunately only one hits, singing its target.
The cleric steps away from the wagons, towards the hill where the illusory troll stood, and casts again. Dark energy washes over Poljen, draining him of vitality.
Hampered by Nyzahr's Bane spell, the group around her and those with her have more trouble landing a blow. The one Cratol knocked down attempts to stand, but is felled for good by the monk in the process. A burly fellow with a greataxe tries to strike down Poljen, but is simply unable to land a blow
Unfortunately, Poljen is shaken by the spell on him, and is unable to land a blow. Fay, still gripped by his curse, is unable to even try.
Velon steps in and kills both the man in front of Poljen and another target in a blur of blades and green fire.
[10down, 2asleep, 10 up. Fay and Nyzahr each took 6 damage. Poljen passed his Con save, and takes 17 necrotic damage. At present there are five enemies surrounding the ambushing team, three in front of the vanguard, and the enemy cleric is in between.]
