Fay drews his Sun Sword and a 15' area lights up as if the sun was around him. The spear that hits him mostly deflects off his armoral, but still leaves a nasty gash. He fights through the pain, attacking the nearest dwarf. He assumes a defensive stance afterwards while singing a sing of brewery to Poljen.
Out of Character: Poljen gets a1d8 inspiration due. Fay's free action defensive stance adds one to his armor. I think I can do both. If not Fau grants the inspiration.
Geoffroy considers the situation, seeing one of the giant size duergar fall but still others moving forward. The Morningliege had to find a way of slowing their movement, giving his companions more time to attack. With such, he decides to cast the Daylight spell hoping the blind the fell dawrves.
Deciding to then continue with an offensive, Geoffroy calls yet again upon Lathander feeling the light of his God move over him and into his hands. Directing the scorching rays of his sun, he aims them at the nearest duergar at hopes they hit true.
Specific Action: For the next two turns, he will cast Daylight and then Scorching Ray.
Out of Character: I can't remember what the spell proficiency goes to. Also, I apologizes to Oswald with light sensitivity because of the goggles. In my defense, Geoffroy wouldn't know about that detail even if I did.

Round Two
The cathedral is lit with a flash of bright light as a bolt of lightning issues from Lia's wand. It strikes through the group of duergar. Oswald finds he is blinded as Fay ignites his sun sword, the dwarves react similarly. Fay unfortunately misses the first duergar through the portal, but Silas cuts it down with his blade
Velon struggles mightily, and breaks out of his bonds. Poljen beside him scores a hit on one of the enlarged Duergar as it shoves its way through. Mira strikes at the wounded dwarf, scoring a hit on the back of the knee. Cratol uses the opening to leap up and drive him to the ground with a series of blows that crush his windpipe.
Jack and Poppo fire off into the mass, however only the latter's bolt strikes true. Elyria casts a bless spell on Geoffroy, Oswald, and Lia
Oswald, in pain, tries to take off his goggles but finds he cannot. He masters himself enough to bring forth a sphere of fire that mostly blocks the passage. Unaware of his companions troubles, Geoffroy intensifies the light in here by casting daylight over the area.
For their part, the Duergar are entering slowly, and finding it difficult to strike back at the group while hardly able to see. Suddenly, the floor underneath the party darkens, and shadowy tentacles emerge from it, seeking out any living things they can find.
Out of Character: No martial damage on party members this round, that sunlight sensitivity is really playing havoc with my rolls. You'll need to make Dexterity saves to avoid being grabbed and crushed by the tentacles.
As Jack attempts to get into position to catch one of the Duergars unaware and stick a bolt through him, he wiggles and bounces between the tentacles that seem to have magically appeared underneath them all… He catches Poppo's eye and nods towards a piece of one of the gray dwarve's armor that seems to be vulnerable.
Out of Character:
Dexterity save and attack rolls for the next round: Jack will continue firing at the enemy from behind and use his help action to back Poppo's rolls.

Lia smiles as she sees the Duergar struggle in the bright light. " Keep up the bright light. They can't handle it. We have them now. " She reaches over the front line again and sends a lightning bolt rippling towards whoever she can hit. She then notices the tentacles with great alarm and tries to jump out of the way.
Mari nods as her target falls finally. She looks for the next preoccupied Duergar to attack.
Out of Character: : Lia will target the largest clump of Duergar that are unengaged. She is again casting it at level 3. Mari will target any currently engaged Duergar on the flanks with her swords again to get advantage and sneak attack.

Fay hears Lia but only has time to nod in agreement. He draws his other scimitar and starts dealing out what damage he can as he attempts to avoid being grabbed. He assumes his parrying stance after his attack.
Out of Character: +1 to AC due to parrying stance. Depends on making save.

Poljen can almost feel the tentacles before they appear. He does his best to avoid them as he continues to hack at the duergar, a laugh escaping his lips. "Ha! Come meet your end at the hands of the last of the Stone Leopards!"
