Poljen barks a short laugh when Velon compliments Cratol. "Aye, he broke the shield wall, for all of one moment. Then more filled in. It took all of us to truly break it. But it was brave to leap into their midst! Well done, Cratol! Or must we now call you, 'My Lord'?"
Fay jumps in briefly, "Brave, foolhardy, crazed to say the least. But gods what an epic song it will make during my life of ease after I have made me fortune. At the rate we're going, 'tis good I have Elven blood in me, I'll need the added years to get to that life of ease." Fay unconsciously looks towards Mari when he speaks about his future life of ease. "Now, mayhaps we could all settle down for a night's rest before we talk the night away and poor Lord Cratol gets no rest at all." Then Fay thinks about what he just said and laughs, "Did I, the great talker, just ask others to quiet down?"
The rangy barbarian chuckles. "Tis my experience for bards to ask others to quiet down, so they may sing their songs. But you suggest we ALL quiet down? That is remarkable indeed. Pleasant dreams, all!"
Out of Character: : Poljen will take any watch that is needed.
In response to Poljen's query to him, Silas states, "Yes and no, curses were never my specialty, and removing them is more a matter of divine magic than arcane. I do have these" He holds up 2 scrolls of Remove Curse, "Which you are welcome to have, but I'd rather suggest at least waiting until we are out of here, as considerably worse curses exist. I seem to recall one survivor of this place coming out with his arms and hands completely bound, he could not otherwise prevent them from attempting to harm himself or his companions."
Poppo and Silas working together manage to identify the remaining items.
-The handaxe, when thrown, is enchanted to return to its wielder within moments. (Also has a +1 enhancement)
-The goggles help magnify and enhance tiny details (Basically the magic equivalent of a jeweler's loupe, grants advantage on investigation checks)
The tankard proves simple enough. Poppo finds the command phrase fairly easily, which proves to be "I am parched" in dwarvish. On saying it, the tankard fills with an amber liquid. Silas carefully tastes a little of it, waits a minute or so, then grins and drinks some more. "Mead, and it is of fine quality to boot. Have some, just don't get carried away. This is not the best place for a drunken hangover."
Time passes quietly enough, on more than one occasion, things can be heard passing by outside, but they never end up coming your way.
Presently, everyone has had enough rest for now, and the group packs up to continue on. You manage to make it back to the original highway without incident, and resume the trek north. It takes a few hours, but eventually you reach one of the grand stairways, and are able to begin heading up. On arriving back on the first floor of this complex, you know you are not far from the intended exit.
Soon enough, you find yourself in a large mustering area for troops. There is something odd here though, a hole where one shouldn't be. Something carved a neat, round, and quite wide tunnel through the rock. It intersects the left wall and part of the floor at an angle. On seeing it, Silas motions somewhat frantically for silence, and indicates a need to avoid the hole.
[Cratol's condition has improved to level 1 exhaustion, which only imposes disadvantage to ability checks. Unfortunately, that will come into play now, as I'll need stealth checks from everyone.]

Velon sees the instructions from Silas and reaches up to touch his silence stone as he moves. Once in the room he stands motionless and releases it so that he can hear any instructions. He'll touch it once again whenever he needs to move here.
Out of Character: Daishain, I forget what we decided the stone would provide Velon mechanically on such things with his heavy plate on. I'm sure it was to negate the noise of his armor at least, and being completely silent must be good. I'll roll twice and you can do with it as you see fit regarding disadvantage, advantage, etc.
