Jack scratches his chin as he listens to Velon's report: "Mmh, yes, a frontal attack would seem to be against our interests… unless we use it as a diversion while the rest of us infiltrate their base. A classic trick, but it's worked well plenty of times before… !" He hooks his thumbs in his belt and rocks on his heels as he smirks at the others satisfyingly.
"As for the lizards' evil intent, I doubt they wish us harm, or they would have attacked us by now."
The rogue clasps his hand on his red-bearded companion's shoulder: " Come on Master Velon, I'll let you try their special, the famous Lizardman's Muck. Great drink, you'll see… although a little bit of an acquired taste… !"
He winks at Lia as he turns and nods towards Zarra with a reassuring look, something that says: "Don't mind them, you're okay here."

Fay returns with Lia and listens to Velon's report. When Velon says that they've already agreed to it Fay looks sheepishly at the group and kind of hunches his shoulders, "It seemed like a good idea and me gut told me if we said no it might have to blows here and now. If this be the same group one thing for certes, once we attack none can escape… we kill em all." He listens as the group discusses their options.
He walks with Cratol and listens to his question, cocking an eyebrow he looks to Lia for the answer to Cratol's query.
The drow will watch in confusion as Cratol pulls Fay, Mari and Lia aside frowning slightly as Zarra wonders what's going on with some confusion. She also took notice to how Velon gave her a sideways glance at her whilelook to Lia.
Giving Jharen appreciative look, she could not help but ask him softly, "What is going on?" Zarra could not help but wonder on the behavior of a few of the Silver Blaze, and the drow innocently didn't yet realize it was about her.
Out of Character: Again, I just like to offer my apologies for the confusion. I should have confirmed the Dungeon Master the distance before making a few of my previous posts, yet it seems I'm now going to have to roll with it.
Also, we really need to get it taken care of for Fay to be made an official member of the Silver Blaze. As for all intents and purposes it could be taken as one of Geoffroy's final wishes before being turned to stone.

"Indeed Jack, something like that crossed my mind but I wasn't sure about splitting up or how to pull it off. I leave that to you smarter more strategic folk." He grins and looks to Lia for thoughts on this.
At Fay's words, "Eh, no worries brother, I committed us too. Your judgement is good and worthy of our trust." "After all I feel that Snapjaw is honest and is just eager for our help. I fear the tough decisions that we will surely face in the future, perhaps very soon after we see what he wishes to show us, but think going along for now is the right choice."
"Jack, you look like you already took a swim in this "Lizardman's Muck." " I'll try it right after you do!

Whenever the conversation wraps up, Velon will say aloud to himself "Huh, somewhere along the way I seem to have learned to like and trust Fay." He glances over at Fay nearby "Who would have thought?! Ha!" He gives his comrade a smile and a moderate punch in the shoulder and offers a share of one of his tastier spiced jerky rations.
Lia tries to keep her face smooth of expression as she listens to Fay and Velon. She purses her lips for a moment before responding. " Well done you two. I agree with your reasoning and decision. We can't afford a fight with all of these lizard folk right now. They might very well be of help. I could see them making it much easier to get to our destination. I sent you two to negotiate because I trust both of you as people and as a negotiator. Thank you for jobs well done. " She smiles at both of them. " Let us go indeed. Our friend looks a little impatient. "
Responding to Cratol off to the side she says, " Cratol, I trust her in regards to what I asked her. It allows skirting around the truth so one has to be careful in what questions they ask. With the questions I asked I am confident that she isn't an agent of Tiamat. Having said that, I still don't trust her fully. Each of us should watch her until she proves herself to us. She may prove false in another way. I just don't trust drow too much. We will give her a chance though to prove herself. "

I nod at Cratol. " Yea, that can be done. I was concerned about that so I structured the questions to keep her from being evasive. I could also tell that she willingly submitted to the spell. That is something as well. "
