Daishain's 5e D&D RPG Main Thread - Page 500

As Velon struggles to shake off the effect that slows both his body and mind, his brain finally processes Fay's most recent song and he is reminded of his companions; Fay, Lia, Cratol, Poljen and the rest. He is inspired to push try even harder to break free of the spell.

Out of Character: Finally got something close, so going to use Fay's inspiration to try and save from this slow spell. Just need a 3 I believe.

Allow those with healing capabilities to focus on keeping those harmed made whole again, Zarra will shoot of another bolt from her hand crossbow. The drow's attention was kept on the golem in wanting it to be taken down, not wanting to be distracted.

Final Round
Fay, Velon, and Zarra keep up their combined assault, but it is Mari that manages to score the final hit.

Velon's thunderous blade sheared off stone plating on the creature's back, exposing the inner framework along with some of the runes that animate the construct. Leaping up, Mari strikes deep with her shortsword, cutting into the soft metals inside the golem.

There is a small explosion, flinging the young rogue away, and the construct slowly collapses, the light fading from it as it becomes an inert pile of stone.

Out of Character: map has been updated to include what you can see beyond where the Golem stood. Its final position is considered difficult terrain, but is otherwise quite passable. Mari is a bit disjointed by that last blast, but did not take damage from it.

Fay runs to Mari as soon as the golem hits the ground. Fear evident on his face he kneels by her, "Are ye good Mari?" He asks in a shaken voice.

Lia sighs in relief as the construct finally crumbles. Seeing Fay checking on Mari she leaves them alone." Well done everyone. Well done. We can't relax though. Now is the time to push on and finish this mission. Is anyone in need of healing? Please speak up if so. Otherwise we need to move on." She will call to the lizard folk that the way is clear if they aren't aware of the fact. Lia walks over and checks her broom. Seeing that it looks okay she straps it on her back again.

Poljen says, "Now, for the sneaky ones to go forward once more. I will stay close behind, ready to assist them if they run into trouble."

Cratol is glad when the stone man falls and heads deeper into the passageway to head deeper into the keep so that we can continue our primary goal. Cratol is glad that they should have a clear path the the lizard folks young and females. He will pass the others as they check over their wounds and each other. HE feels that he needs to move forward to possibly take one the next challenge. His staff is at the ready as he moves.

Cratol reaches the intersection behind the Golem. To his left, he can see a large room, to the right, another intersection. There is light in both directions.

Out of Character: I will be using the map to display what you explore, note that these passages are not nearly as straight as the tool forces them to be. Source 6f.
