Out of Character: Jack and Oswald have already made their way back to report on their findings in the northern room (See my last post). Whether or not they go back there with reinforcements, or wait for Zarra and Fay to come back from their own foray, Jack will leave up for the group to decide.
Fay smiles at Zarra and then turns to Poljen. "Do we want to keep any alive to question? Is there anything left to do here? Shall we report back?" As we go back Fay points the other passage out to Poljen and whispers, "That way next, methinks."
Out of Character: Daishain, was there anything along the walls? Specifically hidden doors? Fay would have Zarra check that out.
Lia looks around the room while they wait for all the scouts to return. She walks to the burly red headed warrior." Good job at dodging most of the time." She laughs." Will you speak to Snapjaw again? Please ask him where his people are being kept. I'm assuming that he has some familiarity with this fortress. I just want to get all the information we can before we make the final move."
Velon gives Lia a nod and looks around amongst the lizardfolk warriors for their leader. "Mighty Snapjaw, our scouts are looking ahead. Do you know where your people are kept? We are eager to find them and ensure their safety. Also, we seek a certain relic. Could your men keep an eye out for all unique or magical items as they search this place?"
Out of Character: Sorry gang, been busy and I forget if we've revealed exactly what we're looking for.
Poljen says about the final sleeping guard, "No time for questioning. Finish him." Poljen goes with Fay back to the others, remaining as quiet as possible. To Lia he says, "Fay and Mari have dealt with those three guards. In case relief comes for them, we need to move quickly. Do we take the southern passage, or the northern one?"
Lia nods over to Velon." He is speaking with Snapjaw. We are trying to find out if he knows where his people are kept and where the gate is. That should be our first objective. .. Taking the gate. Once we have the gate open then the numbers are on our side. We can let the lizardfolk do what they need to and we find the mask.
Poljen frowns a moment, and looks unsure, obviously debating with himself. He finally asks, "Do you think that is wise, Lia? If we make the gate our priority, then no doubt we will have raised the alarm and have to deal with whatever number of foes are here. If for now we stay down here, maybe we can even free the lizards and get them out without dealing with everyone who is upstairs and outside. Once that is accomplished, I am all for slaughtering our enemies throughout this keep. But I think fighting our way to the gate before we have to might be folly." He pauses, then says, "Of course if while in here we alert all our enemies, then reinforcements from outside are unlikely. Hmm. Maybe if we can get the lizards womenfolk and children out, more will be willing to come inside and help attack from the inside." He looks to Lia for a decision.
