Velon rushes into the room hoping to catch the masked one performing some sort of ritual, summoning the last of his magical reserves for one more spell. He had hoped to paralyze the apparent leader, but settles for the other godslayer. If nothing else he hopes to keep his battle weary companions alive. Have they lost the mask? Have they failed? Although still very much engaged in the battle, the paladin feels a sense of shame as he thinks of Irdeith and that he may have failed his new mentor already.
Out of Character: Velon's last spell or sorc. Point, Hold Person once again.
After what feels like an eternity Lia sees the Godslayer about to destroy the apparent portal. She curses and her wand lashes down one last time. The wand feels strangely empty now. Lightning arcs towards the godslayer.
Mari races forward with the others. She will get in behind the monstrosity and lunge in with her twin blades flashing.
Jack and Cratol rush ahead of the others. And get in a few hits, but are unable to prevent the godslayer from striking down. The oversized greataxe sends chips of stone flying as it smashes into the rune circle, and the humming in the room fades as the metal inlay slowly ceases to glow.
The big creature raises his axe to strike the circle again, but then Poljen is upon him, scoring a deep hit. Fay also manages to draw blood from its thick hide, and lightning engulfs the creature's head as Lia expends the last of her wand's charges. The creature strikes back at Poljen, missing once, but the second strike hits hard.
The creature stiffens as is it drawing its weapon back, succumbing to the paralyzing effect of Velon's spell.
Out of Character: Poljen took 29 damage. While it is paralyzed, all attacks made against the creature are at advantage, any made from within melee range will autocrit if it hits.

Poljen grimaces from the pain of the blow the creature lands, but stays on his feet. When he sees the beast freeze, he shoots a grin at Velon and proceeds to strike the godslayer twice more.
Out of Character: : I will roll critical damage for each, assuming I get not fumbles. Obviously if I do, ignore all the damage.
Out of Character: So the Dungeon Master doesn't need to go looking for the rolls, given the rerolls needed and how I wasn't quite giving the bonus needed for Attack, here are the results:
Attack (+1 h.crossbow) on D20 (+7): 23 (1 roll)
Damage (H. Crossbow) on D6 (+3): 8 (1 roll)
Sneak Attack on D6 (+0): 2, 6, 6 (3 rolls).
