The troll freezes in place as the newcomer casts a holding spell on it. The group quickly starts hacking it to pieces, and burning said pieces. It is gruesome work, but soon enough the creature is reduced to greasy ashes.
Fay continues to cough off and on, occasionally bringing up a glob of yellowish phlegm. He appears to be ill, and Jack is not looking great either.
Velon tilts his head at an odd angle at seeing the troll freeze the way the godslayers had. He hadn't cast this spell. He looks around a bit to see who may have done it. Poppo?
He is distracted by another oddity however. Seeing Fay actually coughing stuff up now he doesn't find it worthy of razzing him anymore, then notices Jack with a similar look as well. "Come now, what's going on? You actually don't look good at all. The portal didn't treat me too well, but this seems different. I just lost my lunch, not my lungs." The paladin looks concerned and touches Fay on the shoulder, casting 5 points of healing. "Any better?"
Lia finally manages to quit vomiting as the creature is slain. She feels better now and relaxes until hearing Fay and Jack and knows that something is wrong." Sit down Ionneg and Jack. "'She will then look them over to find out what is wrong. It makes no sense how sick they are. It is far beyond what happened to the rest of them. In her concern for the two she ignores the newcomers now.
Mari comes over by Fay and looks on worriedly. She sheathes her blades and kneels down watching Lia.
Lorairies lowers her weapon and walks over to Lawrence. She watches the wood elf and burly warrior curiously as they work.

Velon's attempt at healing seems to make Fay a bit more comfortable, but it does not seem to do anything more.
It is fairly obvious that Fay at least has a lung infection of some kind, and Jack may have the same condition. However, Lia is at a loss in regards to anything further than that.

Lia stands back up with frustration writ on her face. She is obviously upset." It will be okay Ionneg. Jack, don't worry. We will get this taken care of." She looks at the group." I can't tell what exactly the issue is. They at least have some type of lung infection. This is beyond my ability to cure right now. It is probably something from the swamp that is afflicting them." She paces around worriedly." Velon, would you care to look at them as well? Maybe I missed something. "
Out of Character: : My last two medicine checks ended up being critical fails. .
Velon gives Lia a concerned look and a slight shake of the head 'no' to indicate he doesn't think he can help. Knowing Lia will be focused on Fay and Jack, the paladin takes one step back and surveys their situation.
"Poppo, what do you make of the gate from this side? Could we return safely? Is it stable? Will it, or should it, be closed?"
"Cratol, any sign of the masked one? ... And who are your friends?"
At Lia's words he nods and kneels with Fay and Jack, hoping any small bit of medical knowledge might be aided by some divine inspiration. "Perhaps your singing voice will finally be improved" he says to Fay in jest hoping to cheer him up, but minus his normal grin or jovial nature.
Poppo looks up from his inspection of the rune circle to see what everyone is concerned about. Seeing two companions hacking up mucus gives him pause, "My Uncle Buxley make a cough syrup that tastes like pine sap but it works. Not sure I have the recipe in my book but I can look. Think maybe it was something you got while you were wandering around invisible?"
Out of Character: : Arcana Check on the rune circle to see what Poppo can determine about this side of the portal.

Cratol reenters the area and sees the concern over Jack and Faevalor. He walks up and sits down waiting to see what the verdict will be on their companions. He looks over to the others to see what they are doing and if they appear to be hostile towards us at all.
