He decides to invoke, the "Laying on of hands," Paladin gift upon himself. He takes the necessary rest, to regenerate all of his hit points.

Out of Character: : I'm not sure how this plays out practically? Is he merely meditating, in a trance, or asleep? Does he mutter out a few words, to himself? If he is required to physically talk, or verbalize that's now possible. Will he appear asleep for all intensive purposes?

Tazskan sits back and rests for a time, trying to recover.

Out of Character: Your lay on hands ability can heal up to 15 HP, that's just a standard action to use. You can take a short rest for 1 hour and expend hit dice to recover health. You can take a long rest for 8 hours and recover all of you HP. Of course, time will pass for the latter 2 options, and I make no guarantees that the rest will not go interrupted.

Tazskan, will first notify his familiar Amabalis, telepathically.
He mentions to him that he will take a short rest for up to one hour to regain some strength. Therefore Tazskan will take short rest for up to one hour.
After the one hour, he is to remind him to wake up.

Out of Character: : He isn't going anywhere in a hurry, still has his hands and feet bound. Can still communicate telepathically with his familiar.

Zarra listen to the questions bring asked and the answers given in reply, the drow feeling they were at least being given a fairly good amount of information. Still, involving knocking the guard out she will keep silent though with knife at ready.
