Lawarance shrugs in response, not too bothered by the choice "It's not a matter of a choice being easy, in these cases - it's a matter of how they will affect you. Myself, I'd disable the fellow and move on, making him unable to be anything more than a burden to the enemy, and possibly an example of our resolve. A single wounded soldier takes out three others, if the forces are moral at all. If his friends are not moral, they'll kill him themselves. As it is, a full healing of a disabled soldier takes days, at best, if they use high magics on him. In the fracas, it's easy to kill those arrayed against you. In the cold light of calm, it shouldn't be. Let's move on and get rid of these evil-minded fanatics, and then we don't have to worry about them."
"At least we now know the nature of the creature in the undercavern. A white drake, at least Adult. Nasty stuff, considering their nature and abilities."
Out of Character: : Hey, it's part of playing LG and considering the other players alignments, is something that's going to keep coming up often. Nasty things happen, when Paladin's drop out of Paladin-hood, though! .

Out of Character: You're fine, it may not have even been much of an issue or that there was risk to your character falling. I'm basing what I had Zarra say/do on the fact that if I was a player of a paladin or the Dungeon Master, there would be some concern or question on whether killing a defenseless man might be an issue for a paladin… Even if they may be evil.
Even if she may be a chaotic neutral drow with shaky morality, trying not to be like her kin, Zarra would respect those who take a higher path. Even if or because it's something she could never see herself doing, and may see such as impractical or even naive at times. For me to have her believe it better to get her hands dirty than allow the paladin to do such.

The guard has to be silenced again as talk of executing him resumes, but he is unable to raise the alert or get free. His life is ended swiftly and quietly.
Cratol heads back out to the rear of the fortress and finds a suitable place to throw his magic grapple hook.
The prongs dig in when it strikes a wall above a third floor balcony. You find that it is solid on testing the rope.
Poljen's face betrays only a slight hesitation at the decision to finish off the guard. After all, it had been his bargain with the man for information in exchange for his life. But he had been more than willing to get rid of his before. He stuffs the gag back in the fellow's mouth, then once more heaves the man off the ground and tosses him far over the outer wall.
He then follows the group and watches as Cratol sets the rope. He takes hold begins to climb quietly.
Velon waits to be the last to climb, staying huddled against the bottom of the wall with his cloak over as much of him as possible in the meantime. When he climbs he drops his silence stone onto his skin for the duration, removing it the moment he's over the wall if all seems clear. He trusts the others will address any issues such as guards atop the wall, or at least will signal him as he climbs if need be.
Poljen gets to the top quite easily, and quickly ascertains that it is clear. A pair of thick looking doors promise access to the interior.
The others start climbing up, but when it comes to Lawrance, he has trouble even beginning. It might be easier for someone up top to haul him and anyone else who is struggling upwards.
